SUMMARY OF MDA & MAI GUIDELINES

MDA ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUAL EXPORTERS FOR PARTICIPATING IN TRADE FAIRS, EXHIBITIONS AND BUYER SELLER MEETS.

(A)  ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Ø F.O.B. value of export of last financial year should be less than Rs. 15 crore.

Ø  Complete 12 months membership with TEXPROCIL.

Ø  The company shall not be under investigation/charged/prosecuted/debarred/black listed under the Foreign Trade Policy of India or any other law relating to export and import business.

(B)  TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Ø  Assistance to one regular employee/ Director/ Partner/ Proprietor of Company.

Ø  Maximum of three times participations in a particular trade fair/exhibition would be eligible for MDA assistance.

Ø  Maximum MDA assistance shall be inclusive of MDA assistance received from all Govt. bodies/FIEO/EPCs/Commodity Boards/Export Development Authorities/ITPO etc.,

Ø  Wherever exporters are eligible to claim air fare, grant will be restricted to economy class air fare by shortest route.

Ø  Intimation application must be received in Form V, minimum of 14 days in advance before departure from the country.

Ø  Claim i.e. Form VII along with following documents should reach to the Council with in 45 days of return to India.

·        Self certified copy of Export/Trading House Certificate

·        Self certified copy of SSI registration certificate.

·        Legible photocopy of respective pages of passport highlighting the entries of departure and arrival in India and also the visited countries, for which MDA claimed.

·        Boarding passes, Original air ticket used for the journey.

·        Self certified copy of receipt, bank advice etc. evidencing payment made to the stall charges, water & electricity.

·        Brief report on the activities undertaken & achievements.

·        CA certificate as per Form VIII.

(C)  MAXIMUM ELIGIBLE MDA GANT FOR TRADE FAIRS & EXHIBITIONS.

Ø  FOCUS LAC  -  Airfare + stall charges = Rs. 1,80,000/- (Max.)

Ø  FOCUS AFRICA & WANA - Airfare + stall charges = Rs. 1,50,000/- (Max.)

Ø  FOCUS CIS  - Airfare + stall charges = Rs. 1,50,000/- (Max.)

Ø  FOCUS ASEAN +2  - Airfare + stall charges = Rs. 1,50,000/- (Max.)

Ø  GENERAL AREA - Air fare  NIL ,  only Stall charges  Rs. 80,000/- (Max.)

              ( TOTAL NOS. OF VISITS 5  i.e. 1 EACH TO ABOVE MENTIONED AREAS FOR F.Y.)

(D)  MAXIMUM ELIGIBLE MDA GANT FOR BUYER SELLER MEETS.

Ø  FOCUS LAC  - Air fare  Rs. 1,00,000/- (Max.) 

Ø  FOCUS AFRICA & WANA - Air fare  Rs. 70,000/- (Max.) 

Ø  FOCUS CIS - Air fare  Rs. 70,000/- (Max.) 

Ø  FOCUS ASEAN +2 - Air fare  Rs. 70,000/- (Max.) 

Ø  GENERAL AREA – No MDA  grant.

MAI assistance to individual exporters.

As per MAI guidelines under para 7.1.2, National Level Participation & Organising Trade Festival of India etc. abroad, which is organized by the Council. Council identifies potential markets abroad and participate/organise fairs/exhibitions with effective publicity campaign, seminars, Buyer Seller Meets etc.  Even though Member exporters can not claim direct benefits / grants, MAI grant will be indirectly passed on to members by means of subsidised participation fees in approved events.
